If you do something 30,000 times in your life, you would expect that you will be good at it, right?
Today, we’re going to talk about one of those things—getting up in the morning or simply put the morning routine. I will share with you my morning routine and hopefully get you to share yours so we can learn from one another!
Before I go on, I’ll just reintroduce myself for the benefit of those that haven’t met me before. My name’s Dr. Sachin Patel. I help ambitious doctors dramatically reduce their stress, optimize their time, and rapidly maximize their income so they can live the life they want.
When we talk about morning routine, successful people easily come to mind. Why? Because they attribute much of their success to this. Some examples would be business magnate Richard Branson and life coach Tony Robbins.
Branson wakes up as early as 5:00 am, exercises, and spends time with his family before doing anything else. Robbins also wakes up around that time, drinks lemon water, and does yoga. Both influencers say that their routines get them to have the best mindset for the entire day.
My morning routine starts at around 4:50 am—a few minutes before 5:00 am. I get up, brush my teeth, and drink half a litre of water to flush out toxins, hydrate myself, and fire up my metabolism. Then, I meditate for about 20 minutes.
After that, I will read using an audiobook for 20 to 30 minutes. Then, I proceed to my personal training and do an hour of solid exercise.
To cool down, I’ll read for another 15 to 20 minutes using an audiobook. Then, I’ll have a litre of water. After all that, I officially start my day.
I have found this morning routine effective for me. It has helped me maximize my day and focus more. I hope you learned a thing or two from my routine.
I’d love to hear what you find particularly useful in your personal morning routine. Just leave a comment below and feel free to share your experience.
See you in my next blog!
